"It look scary on the outside at night, like something out of one of those ‘80s crack movies but the double cheeseburgers, polishes, breaded chicken sandwich and fries always a hit. They have can pop to drink. The food is affordable too if you on a budget. Theres always young men standing there begging for $change/food so just bring extra funds if you wanna buy them something too cheap, quick food open 24 hrs"

"I stopped at The Original Maxwell Street for a quick bite and it really delivered. The Maxwell Street Polish with fries was spot on—the sausage had a great snap, the grilled onions brought just the right sweetness, and the fries were hot and crispy. Service was fast, and the staff were welcoming without overdoing it. It’s definitely a no-frills kind of place, but that’s part of the charm, and you can feel the history behind it. A solid, affordable meal that makes you want to come back."

"Ordered online and had delivered...very good triple cheeseburger and fries and the prices are very reasonable..it's just as affordable as McDonald's but but better..I would have given it 5 stars but unfortunately I also ordered a Pepsi but got a sprite with no note saying they had to change it and my cheese cups were not in my bag for my fries..but in the end I would definitely eat there again. 4 out of 5 stars."

Grabbed a Maxwell Street Polish with fries—sausage had that perfect snap, grilled onions added a nice touch, and the fries were crispy. Service was quick, and the staff was friendly. It's a no-frills spot with a lot of history and flavor. Definitely a go-to for a solid, affordable meal in the area."
